Hey y'all!

Welcome to my blog page and first blog post! Here is where I will be letting y'all know about the work the Lord is doing in my life and in my heart this summer, leading up to leaving for the race! It will also be the place I update everyone on what is going on while I’m on the field and add some pictures, too. I am so excited to see how the Lord is going to move this year and to see what He is doing all over the world. God is going to work in so many ways these coming nine months, and I can’t wait to share it with y'all!

To give some background, I made the decision to do the gap year program in October, completely out of the blue. Long-term mission work is something that the Lord had really been putting on my heart for a while, but I had no idea what that could look like. If mission work was something I was going to do, it really needed to be God to show me directly how to do it; and He did. In October, World Race and the gap year program fell so perfectly into my lap in a way where there was no denying that it was from God. I was at such a place of confusion where I truly didn't know what my next steps should be. But, fully giving God the next nine months of my life for Him to use me for the Kingdom couldn’t be a bigger blessing. 

I have never felt so called by God to go as I do now. Matthew 28:19-20 has been constantly on my heart in the process of preparation; “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” I am so excited to go and live out the Great Commission in such a clear way and be able to do it alongside others who are on fire for Jesus, too!
